Punjab govt removes shelter house from Ishaq Dar’s residence in Lahore

Following the court’s instructions, the PTI-led provincial government of Punjab had removed the shelter home from the residence of former finance minister Ishaq Dar in Lahore.

As per the details, the move comes after the Lahore High Court issued the stay order after hearing the petition filed against the decision took by the government to convert Dar’s residence into a shelter home. The board of the ‘shelter house’ was removed by the administration from Hajveri house in Punjab’s capital Lahore.

The administration, however, shifted the shelter house in the park next to the former minister’s residence. A separate container for the women has also been placed in the shelter house.

The officials of the administration said that the temporary washrooms have been placed in the park, while the electricity connection in the shelter house would be provided soon.

The District Administration had started to make arrangements for the homeless people by placing containers in the park next to former minister Ishaq Dar’s residence, late night.
