Punjab Govt Plans to Launch Online Healthcare Service

The government of Punjab has decided to launch an online healthcare service in the province that would enable the citizens to access online healthcare services for free.

The online healthcare facilities combine the concept of communication technology and health information for overcoming the geographical hurdles and for providing standardized healthcare to the localities where proper medical facilities are not reachable.

The step has been given a green signal from the high authorities and would begin from the 1st of July.

According to the shared details, doctors and surgeons would be available online. The medical specialists would be diagnosing the patients first after which they would then be given the medications.

It is important to note that the provincial government had started the pilot venture in Dera Ghazi Khan and Taunsa Sharif. Following the success of this project, the scheme is now being launched in the complete province.

Usman Buzdar—the Chief Minister has also shared a strong commitment to the establishment of quality health services. A mother-and-child hospital is also being formed in the province for imparting good and proper health services to all.
