The government of Punjab has issued SOPs for the resumption of the educational activities from the 15th of September.
As per a notification released by the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare, all the indoor games, slides, swings, and other sports games/activities are barred in all the educational institutions. There would be no outdoor sports tournaments, speech competitions, and seminars.
It further mentioned that all the people would be required to wear face masks and the morning assemblies would also not be conducted. The vans would be leaving 50 percent of the seats empty for maintaining social distancing.
The notice also said that only 30 percent of students would be allowed to live inside the hostels. All the students and staff would have to wash hands and it is on the educational institutions to make sure that the soap and sanitizers are available.
The educational institutions would be required to do disinfection and cleanliness campaigns on their premises 3 days prior to the opening of the campuses.
The institutions would also be disinfected daily and 6 feet social distance would be practiced on the premises.
Students would not be allowed to shake hands. Staff and students would make sure to practice social distancing during the entry and exit timings. Students would be required to bring in theIr lunch from homes and the institutes would make enough arrangements for the removal of the solid waste.
Body temperatures of the students would also be checked with a thermal gun and separate health logbooks would be made and maintained for each and every student.
