The government of Punjab is sharing the COVID-19 test results through SMS directly to people on their mobile phones.
The Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department has made the announcement of the development on Wednesday. The department said that it has completed the project on the online reports and coronavirus in record time.
Muhammad Usman, the Primary Healthcare Punjab Secretary said that the department is now offering the coronavirus test results to the suspected patients through SMS.
He informed that till date 130,000 results have been sent through SMS.
From now onwards, the test results of COVID-19 from the government laboratories would be available online, just like the results of any other private laboratories.
The SMS service is free and the government would be bearing all the expenses of it, as informed by the Primary Healthcare Punjab Secretary.
On the other hand, the Sindh government has launched smart cards for the collection of online tax. The minister of the Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control, Mukesh Kumar Chawala shared the news.
