Punjab Govt Instructs to Start Girls’ Schools Earlier than Boys

The Punjab Education Department has taken the decision to change the timings of all the government schools of the province a little bit.

A notification for the new timings was issued on Thursday.

As per the notification, the boys’ schools would be starting at 8am and would be ending around 1:30pm in the afternoon. Whereas on Friday’s the classes would begin at 7:45am and would be ending at 11:45am.

On the other hand, the girls’ schools would begin at 7:30 am and would continue until 1:15 pm in the afternoon. Where as on Fridays, the schools would begin at 7:30 am and would end at 11:30 am.

The schools that offer double shifts for boys’ school would start at 7:30 am and would be ending at 12:30 pm. The second shift would be commencing at 1:15 pm and would end around 5:30 pm.

Whereas the schools for girls offering double shifts would, in the same way, start at 7:30 am and would be ending at 12:45 pm. The second shift would start at 1 pm and would end at 5:30 pm.

In the mountainous regions—Rawalpindi, Murree, Kahuta and Kotli Sattiyan the boys’ schools would start at 8:30 am and would be ending at 2 pm. On Fridays, the schools would start at 8:30 am and would end at 12 pm.

The girls’ schools in these regions would begin at 8:15 am and would end at 1:45 pm. Whereas on Fridays, the schools would commence from 8 am and end at 12:45 pm.
