The government of Punjab has taken the decision of setting up 396 Sahulat Bazaars throughout the province on the directives of the CM Punjab-Usman Buzdar
As per reports, a review session was conducted under the chair of the CS Punjab for the government steps to control prices. During a briefing, it was told that 223 Sahulat Bazaars have been made functional across the province of Punjab.
The chief secretary said that 396 bazaars would be set up on the instructions of the CM Punjab-Usman Buzdar.
He also asked for a comprehensive report from the concerned authorities about the monitoring of flour mills.
Previously on Tuesday, PM Khan had given the first task to the Tiger Force volunteers to discourage hoarding while he led a high-level session about the current efforts to control the prices.
The meeting participants took the decision of launching a pilot project in order to curb the inflation from the capital city. During the initial phase, nine thousand shops in the federal capital would be monitored, whereas, Tiger Force volunteers, deputy commission and the Islamabad Commission would be joint spotting the markets and shops that are involved in hoarding.
In the phase-wise progress, the local bodies would be beginning the monitoring of the rate lists and the volunteers would be identifying the hoarders and stocks of the essential items more than its need in the various markets.
