The PTI-led provincial government of Punjab has announced to increase the minimum wage of the labours as well as the Workers Welfare Fund.
According to the information, the minimum wage of the labours in Pakistan’s largest province, Punjab, has increased to Rs16,500, on the other hand, the Workers Welfare Fund was increased from Rs100,000 to Rs150,000. The death grants was increased from Rs500,000 to Rs600,000.
“The provincial government of Punjab further announced to construct labour colonies and social security hospitals for people’s convenience, “Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar said during addressing a seminar on World Labour Day.
CM Punjab further added that “We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital.”
As per the details, the provincial cabinet will make further amendments in the labour laws to facilitate the labour community.
