Usman Buzdar, the Chief Minister of Punjab has said that the areas that are impacted badly by the COVID-19 pandemic have been sealed to curb the spread of the virus in the province.
He emphasized in a statement that the citizens could stay safe by abiding with the government issued SOPs. He asked all to wear face masks when going out of homes.
The minister said that the cooperation of the citizens is important to control the spread of the highly infectious virus. He mentioned that the worst affected areas by the virus would also be sealed in the future.
He said that through strict adherence to the preventive measures people could protect their lives, and indicated that the testing capacity for the virus of the Punjab government has surged to 12,000 tests per day.
The CM said that the number of high dependency units has also been increased in Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, and in other cities of the province. He further added that the ones doing black marketing of life-saving drugs would be strictly dealt with.
The CM also said that he would not be tolerating any shortage of the drugs or injections being used in for the treatment of the coronavirus patients.
