More than 50 shops have been sealed by the provincial government of Punjab in the provincial capital Lahore for violating the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the provincial authorities amid the coronavirus pandemic.
People continued to throng different markets of the country on the third day of the ‘smart lockdown’ with the majority of the people ignoring the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the social distancing guidelines.
The PTI-led provincial government of Punjab is continuing its action to ensure the implementation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that were declared mandatory for the resumption of the business activities.
According to the details, more than 50 shops so far have been sealed in the four tehsils of Lahore. The provincial authorities have sealed shops in the areas of Shalimar, Cantonment, Raiwind, and others.
According to a notification issued by the home department of Punjab, all the mega shopping malls and educational institutes are closed till the end of this month, however, some businesses were allowed to reopen.
