May Day or Labour Day is a public holiday in many nations across the world. It is usually celebrated on the 1st of May, however, the date varies from country to country.
The day is linked to the beginning of the spring season as well as to the celebration of workers.
Sindh province is to have the summer vacations from the 1st of May until the 30th of June as per the reports of local media.
During the summer vacations, the holy month of Ramazan would also fall and would reach completion.
One big reason for announcing early summer holidays is this so that the students do not have to attend schools in hot weather while they fast.
The timings of the educational institutes have also been changed from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The decision of early summer vacations is a good one in many ways as it would provide relief to the parents as well.
Keeping in mind the heat and the hot weather conditions that the city of light experiences and the predictions of hot weather, this appears to most as a sane and wise decision.
