Public Dealing Offices to Suspend Operations for 15 Days

As per the announcement of the Interior Ministry the public dealing offices and businesses are to suspend their operations for 15 days starting from today as part of the preventive steps to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

As per an issued notification by the Interior Ministry, the National Database and Registration Authority NADRA) and passport offices would remain closed for all public dealing related affairs for a span of fifteen days as a preventive protocol against the spread of the epidemic coronavirus.

The ministry has asked the authorities to take all the needed measures for extending the validity period of the CNICs for the locals as well as for the overseas Pakistani and to extend the validity of the passports that would be getting expired during the closure period.

Furthermore, the excise and the taxation office, beauty parlours, property dealing offices, saloons would also not be operational during the aforementioned span. The ministry also directed the shopping malls and the restaurants to close earliest by 10:00 pm. However, the food outlets and the restaurants have been given the permit to continue on with their deliveries and takeaway services even after 10:00 pm.

The ministry has given approval to the mechanism for the government employees during the being discussed period to be called by their respective ministries and divisions for important tasks.

The employees who are more than 50 years in age might be given the permit to work from home as well as the ones with an illness or experiencing some health issues.
