PTV Terminated Many Employees on Fake Educational Degrees

The government television of Pakistan that is the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) has ended the services of many employees owing to the reason of having fake educational degrees as per the instructions of Sardar Ahmed Nawaz—Federal Secretary of Information and Managing Director (MD) Pakistan Television.

Pakistan Television Corporation is a state-managed broadcaster of the nation. The headquarters of the megacorporation is in the federal capital.
The institution was incorporated back in the year 1966 and a year later that is on 1967 it was converted into a public limited company.

The television was aimed at assisting to solve the social and educational problems, unifying people on one common outlook on life.

The employees whose jobs have been terminated were working in the different sections of the organization which includes information technology, finance, and administration as per the press release on Wednesday.

The action has been taken against these individuals in line with the practical steps against the malpractices, cheating within the corporation and the corruption.

The degrees of the terminated employees proved fake while the verification process by the concerned educational boards.

The process of verifying the educational degrees is going on as the PTV MD expressed his willingness for ensuring a justified and genuine merit policy within the corporation.

He further declared that removing corruption from the organization is his topmost priority and more measures would be adopted to bring stability to the institution.

PTV is one such channel that we all have some memories associated with. It was an important part of our lives before the advent of these new private channels.
