The ruler political party of the country, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced to launch a fund raising campaign in South Africa to collect funds for the construction of Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand dams.
The Senator of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Faisal Javed said that a ball and bat signed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan will be auctioned at the fundraising event for dams.
Pakistani cricket team, which is currently in South Africa for ODI and TT20 series, will also join the fundraising event organized by the ruling political power.
According to the details, Captain Shoaib Malik, Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan, Imam-ul-Haq, Muhammad Hafeez and Usman Shinwari along with several other cricket players have been invited to the event.
“The passion of overseas Pakistanis to raise funds for the construction of dams in their country is commendable,” PTI Senator Faisal Javed said. “I urge all the Pakistanis living in South Africa to actively join the dams fund raising campaign,” he added.
“The time is not far when the crisis of water in country will be ended,” Mr Javed further said.
