The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is all set to celebrate its 23rd Foundation Day today in the federal capital, as per the reports of local media.
The main ceremony would be held at the convention centre in which the Prime Minister and the founding chairman of PTI—Imran Khan would be addressing the participants.
Strict security measures have been adopted for avoiding any indecent incident and special passes have been issued for the ceremony attendees.
On the 17th of April, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf took the decision to organize the main ceremony of the foundation day of the party in Islamabad.
Imran Khan would be delivering a historic speech and would brief on the future layout and targets of PTI.
The information pertaining to the Foundation Day was revealed by the central media department of PTI in a statement last Tuesday.
The verdict of celebrating the foundation day of PTI on 1st May was taken in a meeting led by the chief organiser of PTI—Saifullah Khan Niazi.
During the meeting, the members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf also took the decision to revise the constitutional draft of the party and that would be presented for formal approval by the National Council of PTI.
PTI was founded on the 25th of April 1996 by the cricketer turned politician Imran Khan.
