The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led federal government has installed the face detection biometric system in all federal educational institutions, the Parliamentary Secretary for Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Akram informed the National Assembly of Pakistan on Wednesday.
She further said that the government implemented this system to ensure the timely attendance of the teachers.
While responding to a question on the floor of the house, she said that the Federal Directorate of Education has a mechanism of supervision of all the federal educational institutes through the field officers.
The field officers are duty bound to pay visits to the federal educational institutes to assess the academic activities and administrative affairs of the institutions.
While responding to another question during the Question Hour, she said that the proposal of curriculum revision was in the phase of implementation by the ministry through the National Curriculum Council.
