PTI government saves Rs140 million in five months under austerity campaign

The PTI-led federal government of Pakistan has claimed that almost Rs140 million have been saved in five months under an austerity drive.

But the opposition political parties of the country have termed these claims as fake.

After the formation of PTI’s government, several steps have been taken by the federal government including turning the Prime Minister House into a university and auctioning the cars and buffaloes of the PM House.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has also barred the ministers from flying abroad for medical treatment. Moreover, PM Khan has also barred the ministers from using more than one vehicle for their movement across the country.

The representatives of the government call the austerity campaign by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s government as historic, but on the other hand, the opposition leaders claimed that all these steps by the government are for deceiving the nation of Pakistan.
