PTA lifts ban on Bigo Live mobile application

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has lifted the ban imposed on Bigo Live, a mobile application that allows its users to share live moments with the followers.

According to the details, the telecommunication authority took this decision after the management of the mobile application committed to moderate immoral and indecent content.

Back on July 21, the country’s telecommunication authority has taken a decision and blocked Bigo Live in the country after it received a number of complaints from the people regarding “immoral, absence, vulgar” content on it.

It is pertinent to mention here that the authority made the decision to lift the ban on the mobile application after a meeting held between the officials of the PTA and the Vice President of Bigo Jhon Zhang.

According to the statement issued by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the representative assured Bigo’s commitment to moderate immoral and indecent content in accordance with the Constitution of Pakistan.

The administration of the live streaming mobile application has assured Pakistan that it will work with the country to address the issue of unlawful content, it added.
