There is no such plan of increasing the number of teams in the Pakistan Super League says the Project Executive of HBL Pakistan Super League Shoaib Naveed.
In an interview, he said that up till now PSL has not considered adding more teams in the next year’s PSL. This can only be decided after noticing the fan’s commercial perspective and experience of bringing in additional teams.
Naveed further responded to a question by saying, that PSL is the only event after the 1996 world cup for which PCB activated different venues. At the same time, it is difficult to conduct 2 matches in a single day at 2 different venues. However, the preparation for the PSL 5 is on the right track.

He also said that as compared to other countries their ratio of events is very low. They are at the learning stage, slowly and steadily the sporting events in their country will get better in the coming years.
Shoaib Naveed assured that all the international players will be provided with top-level security for their stay in Pakistan. And the nature of security for the PSL 5 will be the same as it was in the recent matches with Bangladesh and Srilanka.
There were rumours of the rift between PCB and PSL. And those issues occurred probably due to the communication gap between the two bodies. Efforts are being made to fill in this gap otherwise this gap can jeopardize the organization of the whole league.
PCB and PSL will sit together and listen to each other’s suggestions for improving the PSL organization once the PSL ends.
