Salman Iqbal, the owner of one of the franchises of PSL has said that the knockout stages of the T-20 league might be scheduled sometime later in 2020.
While speaking to BBC, Salman Iqbal said that the matches which include 2 semi-finals and a final match have been postponed amid coronavirus outbreak and would be played later this year.
The owner of Karachi Kings said that it would be happening this year and that they are looking for the 6-7 day window after the T-20 world cup in Australia. He further said that in his opinion that would be the best time for scheduling the remaining matches.
Mr Iqbal said that his team Karachi Kings was to have a clash with the Lahore Qalandars in the fifth season of Pakistan Super League in the semi-final before the announcement of rescheduling the knockout matches was made by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
PCB took the decision that the final matches in Lahore and Karachi would be played behind the closed doors, while some international players have withdrawn their participation in the league.
The spectators who bought the tickets for the matches in advance were offered full amount refund as per the ticketing policy of the cricket board.
