private schools

It is expected that the Senate would soon be passing a historic bill which would bind the private schools in the capital city to provide free education to at least one orphan child.

The Legislators on the treasurer benches are preparing a draft of the bill which is composed by Senator of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)—Mian Ateeq Shaikh.

The bill would be presented before the Senate in the upcoming session.

The historic decision was taken during a parliamentary panel meeting led by the Leader of the House-Senate Shibli Faraz.

The bill is aimed at increasing the literacy rate in the nation and also to providing accommodation to the less privileged societal segment.

The proposed law would bind all the private institutions in the federal capital to tolerate the complete expenses of at least one orphan child from nursery to the secondary school certificate that is up to the level of Matriculation.

Senator Ateeq of the MQM-P was pretty sure that the government would be able to get this bill passed from the Upper Housing during the present session as it has already been unanimously approved by the related committee.
