Liaquat Shalwani, the spokesperson of the government of Balochistan has said that the primary schools in the province would remain closed for 15 more days.
Previously, the NCOC had given permission to enter the second phase of schools reopening for the secondary classes across the nation.
As was reported , the academic sessions for the secondary classes from VI to VIII resumed in the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab from the 23rd of September.
The spokesperson of the government of Balochistan said that the decision of delaying the schools reopening for primary grades has been taken after there has been a surge in the COVID-19 cases. The deadly pathogen-infected cases have been reported in universities as well.
Primary schools would remain suspended for fifteen more days and the decision of reopening them would be taken later, as informed by Liaquat Shalwani.
It is pertinent to mention that the latest count of coronavirus cases identified in the educational institutions of Balochistan stands at 406.
The provincial government spokesperson also said that many educational institutes have been closed after the detection of positive virus cases in schools.
