On Tuesday Asad Umar—the Minister for Planning and Development said in a recent interview that price control would be the next big challenge.
He said that he did not realise that the process for controlling price is not what it should be. And further added that he stays in touch with PM Khan and knows that the PM is focusing on devising strategies of bringing the prices of various items down.
Asad Umar also said that the price of goods would start falling soon. He said that Pakistan’s economy has just started recovering. The minister further added that they had this idea that the improvements would start surfacing in 2 years and it has been 15 months as PTI came into power and the results could be seen now.
Regarding Karachi, he said that the city is being operated by the city and the provincial government. The Sindh government has taken all the authority from the city government and they have not done anything for Karachi in the past 11 years. He further said that they have not treated the city they should have treated it.
He informed that he would himself be talking to the Chief Minister—Murad Ali Shah and said that engaging in politics over development projects is not a good idea.
