As the deadline issued by Election Commission of Pakistan to file nominations papers ended, political parties have issued party tickets to ambitious candidates. Also, the parties have made some blunders during the process.
Pakistan Peoples Party made a mistake and issued a party ticket to a dead party leader for the upcoming elections.
Pakistan Peoples Party awarded ticket for the PS-79 constituency to Jam Bijar Khan Jokhio, the deceased PPP leader, who died a year ago.
The reason for this stupid mistake was due to the fact that the son of Jam Bijar Khan Jokhio submitted an application to get the party ticket for elections 2018. Instead of issuing the ticket to the son Owais Jokhio, PPP management mistakenly issued it to the late father.
On 30th May 2017, Jam Bijar Khan chief of the Jokhio tribe and ex-Sindh assembly member passed at age of 85 in his local village Jam Goth. His funeral was attended by leaders, politicians, and native tribal chiefs from all over Sindh and Baluchistan.
Pakistan Peoples Party is not the only party that made errors and blunders while awarding party tickets before this Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf granted party ticket to Nazia Raheel who is a political worker and a loyal follower of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz.
