PPP Gifted 10 Buses to Karachi

As an offering of some relief to the residents of Karachi from this heat, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has gifted ten new buses to the city of lights on Wednesday.

As per the reports of a local newspaper, these buses would be running as part of the continuous pilot project however, the people of Karachi have termed the gift as a joke inquiring how could just ten buses meet the needs of twenty-five million people.

Nasir Hussain Shah—the Provincial Transport Minister said that the bus service is a mutual project of a private firm and Sindh government.

He said that the government of Sindh has not invested anything in this project but after that, he added that Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto had suggested for the provision of transport facilities to the citizens of Karachi.

One bus could accommodate nearly around thirty people at a time whereas the rent of the bus would vary between rupees twenty, rupees thirty and rupees forty.

The buses would run from 6 am in the morning to 11 pm until night between Dawood Chowrangi and Tower.

One of the biggest issues of the city of lights is the pathetic transport system of the city. There are many people belonging to different areas of Pakistan living in Karachi. It is almost flooded in terms of population. Meeting the transportation needs and their facilitation is one important concern. Provincial government have tried and is trying to do something good in this regard to provide ease to the Karachiites.
