The authorities have claimed on Tuesday that the New York Police Department have arrested three men and a high-school student for allegedly planning to bomb a Muslim community in New York.
According to the details, the residents of Rochester are accused of plotting to attack the small Muslim enclave of Islamberg, which is located about 150 miles (241kilometers) northwest of New York City.
As per the case details, the police department have charged Brian Colaneri, 20, Andrew Crysel, 18, and Vincent Vetromile, 19, with the weapons and conspiracy charges, while the 16-year-old was charged with the same offences but not identified due to his age. The non-identified accused in the case is a student of Odyssey Academy, a school in Greece, New York.
The police department have claimed that three accused were taken into custody when they were in the Boy Scouts together. The police also recovered 23 rifles and shotguns and three home-made explosives.
A comment made by the student in the lunchroom during school on Friday launched the investigation, Patrick Phelan, the Greece Police Chief told the media.
“He looks like the next school shooter, doesn’t he?” the student allegedly said this in the lunchroom of the school while showing students a picture of another boy on his mobile phone, the police chief said.
