The police in Faisalabad adopted a unique way of arresting the lockdown violators in the city.
According to the details, a shortage of the handcuffs didn’t stop the police officials from arrested the shopkeepers as they cuffed them with cloth instead.
The Faisalabad Police had arrested as many as twenty shopkeepers at the Makki Cloth Market on Friday. The officials said that all the shopkeepers had opened their shops, defying the orders issued by the government of Pakistan after which the police raided the cloth market of Faisalabad.
In the video posted by the Samaa News, it can easily be seen that the violators were taken to the police station on foot. The police officials said that this was the part of their punishment for not following the orders of the lockdown.
It is worth mentioning here that the provincials and federal governments had imposed a strict lockdown across the country from 12 noon to 3 pm on Friday. The government took this decision to prevent people from going for the congregational prayers, which increase the chances of the novel coronavirus spread.
