Polish Ambassador Piotr A Opalinski said on Tuesday that Poland believes there are massive opportunities in an ongoing project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and expressed Polish government’s interest in joining the mega project in future.
Polish Ambassador said it during the meeting with National Security Advisor (NSA) Lt-Gen (retd) Nasir Khan Janjua while exchanging bilateral views and interests, a spokesperson NSA informed in a press statement. During the meeting matters related to the economy, energy, military and defense cooperation were discussed.
The NSA said Poland is an important country in a current global scenario and we look forward to strengthening the bilateral relationships with Poland in multiple areas of cooperation. Poland is of strategic importance globally just like Pakistan and cooperation between both countries will empower our strong position in the global market.
The ambassador highlighted the history of friendly relationships and cooperation between Pakistan and Poland; he said Polish Pilots helped Pakistan in building its Air Force in the past. He also mentioned that Polish companies were actively involved in oil and gas exploration in Pakistan and worked along with Pakistan to promote energy sector in the country.
Janjua said CPEC is the mega project with tons of opportunities which will not only benefit Pakistan but also the whole region. Both countries agreed on promoting cordial bilateral relations and cooperation between the countries.
