Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch asset transfer schemes, Qarz-i-Hasna next month under the Ehsaas Programme. The schemes will allow distribution of more than 80,000 loans and moveable/immovable assets to the families who deserve it. Both the asset transfer schemes and Qarz-i-Hasna will be launched by Imran Khan under the Ehsaas Programme.
80,000 loans will be disbursed every month under the Ehsaas Qarz-i-Hasna scheme. Youth and women will be given these loans that will allow them to start their own business ventures. It will free their families from the poverty trap. These loans will be given a priority in the underdeveloped districts.

In the asset transfer schemes, livestock, agriculture tools, sewing machines, and supplies would be supplied to the people. This will allow them to set up local crafts and small shops to begin their business. The assets would be one-time support that will not be asked to return.
Prime Minister Khan has approved injecting additional Rs5 billion into the existing fund to make it easier for the programme to be launched in collaboration with Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund.
Prime Minister said, “We aim to turn Pakistan into a welfare state based on the model of Riyasat-i-Madina that takes full ownership of the needs of it’s poor and vulnerable.”
On the status of implementing the Ehsas Programme, the decision was taken during a briefing by Dr. Sania Nishtar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Social Safety Nets and Poverty Alleviation (PASS)
The aim of the Ehsaas Programme is to address issues like elitism and create an environment of equality in the system.
