Prime Minister Imran Khan shows his strong will to upgrade the backward areas of Pakistan. He said this while inaugurating a hostel at Cadet College In Isakhel district.
The PM during his visit will launch work on the first phase of Knowledge City. The phase is expected to be cleared by 2023 and will accommodate around 800 students and 50 faculty members.
Other construction work on the project is expected to be completed by 2027. The knowledge city will include academic blocks, libraries, technology parks, business centers, dairy farms, primary and secondary schools, sports facilities, a hospital, shopping centers, hotels, and housing colony for staff, faculty, and students.
While talking to students, the PM said:
We are focusing on the provision of basic civic amenities of life to the people of these areas including health and education infrastructure.
I always thought, when I would be in power, the first thing I’m going to do is to provide all the basic necessities,
He further appreciated the officials of the area and paid his regards by saying:
First thing, I met all the officials, including the commissioner and deputy commissioner today and I’m very happy that the water issue will be resolved,
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar is here, and we have made a mechanism, which will ensure the availability of teachers and nurses in the tehsil,
Now you would not have to wait for doctors or teachers to come from other cities,
Other backward areas are also facing similar problems and we would address them one by one,
