PM Khan would officially be launching the Ehsaas Kifaalat programme for the deserving families today, as per the reports of local media.
Under the Ehsaas Kifaalat programme, Rs.2,000 would be given to each deserving family per month. Nearly 5,000 people would get the benefit from this programme.
All the current eligible beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Programme would be continuing to be a part of the Ehsaas Kifaalat programme.

The complete count of the anticipated Kifaalat beneficiary women is nearly 7 million. The enrollments of 1 million families in the 70 districts have already started and these families would start getting the stipends of Kifaalat from the next 2 months.
More families would be added via the desk registration and other districts would be covered by the end of the year.
Kifaalat is part of the extensive Ehsaas programme, where women would have better chances to graduate themselves out of the menace of poverty.
Previously, on the 30th of December 2019, the special assistant to PM on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Sania Nishtar in her statement had said that the Kifaalat programme of the Ehsaas initiative would be introduced in the fifteen districts within a few weeks for empowering the poor segments of the society.
