The leaders and the workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf are all set to give Prime Minister Imran Khan a grand reception at the Islamabad airport as he is to arrive back today evening to the country after his iconic speech at the United Nations General Assembly.
Saifullah Khan Niazi—the Chief Organizer of the PTI asked the party workers in his tweet to arrive at the New Islamabad International Airport on Sunday afternoon as the party would accord PM Khan with a great welcome.
The senior PTI leader—Jahangir Tareen also took it to Twitter to ask the party workers for attending the reception of the PM who he said had fought like a true hero for the Kashmir cause.
He tweeted that #welcomeHomePMIK which trended on Twitter and wrote that let us celebrate this win by giving the PM a hero’s welcome tomorrow at 5pm at the New Islamabad International Airport.
Previously, the Prime Minister of Pakistan left for New York on board a commercial flight after his plane developed some technical issue on Friday night.
Technicians tried fixing the issue in the special plane, which was placed at his disposal by the government of Saudi Arabia, after it landed back in New York.
Officials revealed that it was then decided that the PM should return to the Roosevelt hotel where the PM had been staying during his 7 day visit to New York, and to take a regular Saudi Airlines flight on Saturday morning for his journey back home, as he was anxious to return and pay a visit to the earthquake affected areas and families of the victims.
