The list of World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims features Prime Minister Imran Khan, Maulana Tariq Jameel, Umar Saif among others.
Umar Saif has been included this year in this list. Saif is an award-winning scientist, founder of first IT-centered university in Pakistan, and an entrepreneur. He was also included in Technology Review’s World’s Top Young Innovators.
Prime Minister Imran Khan is at number 29th in the list of World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims. Through his political career and cricket, he has positively influenced many. He established Pakistan’s first cancer hospital ‘Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital’. Earlier, Time Magazine named Prime Minister Imran Khan among the ‘100 most influential people’ in 2019.
Maulana Tariq Jameel, the renowned Islamic scholar was ranked at 23rd position. Through his lectures and open seminars, he became famous in masses. He is an advocate of a just and violence-free society.
Malala, the youngest Nobel Prize laureate was also named among 500 Most Influential Muslims. Malala was also honored by Times Magazine as one of the 25 Most Influential Teens in 2014.
The list also includes the founder of Pakistan’s nuclear program Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, and highly reputable chemist Dr. Attaur Rehman.
