On Saturday PM Khan inaugurated the Jinnah Express Train. On the occasion he said that the government resolves to improve and expand the railway network to put less pressure on the roads and for promoting tourism in the nation.
While addressing the inaugural ceremony the Jinnah Express Train at the Lahore Railway Station, the PM hoped that the upgradation of the Pakistan Railways would give speedy travelling facility to the people with additional affordability and comfort.
The Jinnah Express would run non-stop between Lahore and Karachi and would cover the complete journey in 15 hours.
The PM said that Pakistan would take the assistance of China for improving the Railways as it was the leading nation in terms of technology. He said he would be visiting China next month and would look for the Chinese assistance in this matter.

He mentioned that throughout the world, common man uses a train, and this actually reflects on the country priorities.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan has got a great potential for tourism and Railways could play a significant role in promoting this industry.
He added that Pakistan has got good tourism potential and it was needed to develop trains for promoting the tourism sector in the nation.
The PM said that the Main-Line 1 project would bring about a revolution in the railways department other than facilitating the people. He added that he would direct the petroleum ministry to use trains for freight.
The PM added that the nation would get advantage via improvement in railways and the government would give all possible support for the system upgradation.
