PM Khan has inaugurated the first shelter home in Faisalabad on Friday as part of the flagship of government called the Panahgah initiative.
Along with the Punjab CM Usman Buzdar, PM Khan gave a tour to the shelter home for reviewing the facilities being offered by the provincial government to the homeless people and got a briefing by the administration. The prime minister also ate lunch at the shelter home.
Previously, PM Khan had asked the CMs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab to take measures for providing temporary shelters and food to every person in their respective province in mid of the severe cold weather.
As per the tweet of PM Khan, due to the severe cold weather conditions, he has asked the chief ministers of both the provinces Punjab and KP to ensure that no person is left unprotected, and their administrations must take the immediate actions required to provide temporary shelters plus food for the ones who cannot be given accommodation in the current Panagahs.
PM Khan, during his visit to Faisalabad, is anticipated to perform the groundbreaking ceremony of the international standard Allama Iqbal Industrial City for housing the foreign and local investors besides offering economic impetus activities in the nation.
The industrial city is a big project of the Special Economic Zone of Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) under the CPEC project.
