On Saturday Prime Minister—Imran Khan said that the government was in the process of forming laws to promote the construction of high-rise building for permitting more green spaces. He discussed about the “vertical cities” vision.
In a series of tweets, the PM Pakistan said that his vision for future cities is to allow building to rise high vertically and permit for more green spaces as Pakistan is one of the most environmentally-threated nations.
He added that to avoid large sprawling construction areas would also permit easier access of amenities to the urban dwellers.
The PM said that the arable land of Pakistan is being eaten by the housing societies and has severe results for the food security in future.
He added that the government was also working on making laws to permit building, built on international safety standards and go as high as in the other cities of the world.
In the meantime, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain—the Federal Information Minister on Saturday submitted a resolution in the National Assembly to recommend Prime Minister Imran Khan for the honorablee Nobel Peace Prize for his contributions towards bringing peace in the region.
The resolution mentions the PM’s decision of releasing the Indian Air Force pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan majorly de-escalated the tensions between Pakistan and India. As per the resolution, PM Khan acted maturely in the present tension and hence he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.
