On Sunday, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced that Gilgit-Baltistan is going to be the 5th province of Pakistan.
According to the details, earlier today, while speaking at an Independence Day parade in Gilgit-Baltistan, PM Khan declared November 1st as the independence day of GB and the day it yielded to Pakistan.
As per the Prime Minister, now the nation will see whose legs shake and whose forehead sweats.
Imran Khan is currently in Gilgit-Baltistan for a one-day visit. During his visit, he added that a package cannot be released right now for the new province due to the upcoming elections.
It is relevant to mention here that Gilgit-Baltistan is an independent state within Pakistan and was also known to be a princely state when it ceded to Pakistan at the time of partition. The state is governed by a governor and a chief minister, just like the other provinces. In order to form a Legislative Assemble for GB, elections are going to take place on the 15th of November.
This is the youth’s wish to convert Gilgit-Baltistan into a province, says PM Khan.
Moreover, Imran Khan also praised the efforts of the ISI and Pakistan Army in his speech. He says that defending Pakistan would not have been possible without them.
