The Prime Minister of Pakistan—Imran Khan has emerged as the 9th most popular world leader with more than 9.4million followers on the social networking site—Twitter.
The Prime Minister is among the list of 10 most popular world leaders who are most followed on Twitter, as per the Spectator Index.
Spectator Index is a website that shows statistics and international rankings from the domains of economics, science, military affairs, politics, sports, history and technology.
PM Khan with the followers’ base of 9.4million lies between Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Ali Maktoum with 9.6million followers and King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, who has got a total of 7.3million followers.
The followers base of the other Pakistani political leaders of present times is as follows:
- Maryam Nawaz, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz—5.06million
- Bilawal Bhutto, Chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party—3.24million
The topmost position has been taken by the US President—Donald Trump who has got a total of 59.5million followers on Twitter.
Imran Khan was already famous even before he stepped on to the ladder of premiership. Last year the Spectator Index ranked him at the 7th spot with 8.17million followers on Twitter.
After he got into power his popularity surged and so was his ranking as per the Index.
