PM Imran Khan unfollows Hamid Mir on Twitter

A veteran journalist in Pakistan, Hamid Mir is reportedly been unfollowed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on the social networking platform Twitter.

As per the details, the journalist has been continuously criticizing the government of Pakistan over the arrest of the co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari.

The personal attacks by Hamid Mir have also been noticed against PM Khan in one of his shows on Geo TV channel. It is pertinent to mention here that the supporters of PTI have also started an unfollow campaign against Hamid Mir.

Some of the journalists of Pakistan bashing the government over the media censorship during the tenure of the PTI’s government. On the other hand, the PTI-led federal government had refuted all the claims against the freedom of speech in Pakistan.

Imran Khan—the Prime Minister of Pakistan—currently following only 18 people on Twitter including Namal Knowledge City, Shaukat Khanum, Jemima Goldsmith, and the other leaders of his own political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The number of the followers of PM Khan reached up to 10 million on Twitter and PM Khan has been added to the list of top 10 popular politicians in the world on Twitter.
