Prime Minister Imran Khan has called an important meeting on rising inflation and prices of commodities in Pakistan.
The meeting will be held at 4 pm today at the Prime Minister’s House with the participation of concerned officials. The meeting will review the rise in sugar prices and availability of essential commodities.
Federal ministers and provincial representatives will also participate via video link. Prices of all food items, including vegetables, fruits and pulses, have risen sharply in the country and the federal government seems to be failing to control inflation and prices. In this situation, it has become difficult for the poor and middle class to make ends meet. According to some reports, poor people’s situation got worsen and they were forced to sell their home items to fight inflation.
