Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the launch of the new private airline ‘Air Sial’. The new airline will be launched from Sialkot International Airport.
A meeting was held between the Prime Minster, Minister for Privatisation and Aviation Muhammad Mian Soomro in Sialkot and the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar along with the AirSial Chairman Fazal Jillani.

Local traders, investors will cooperate with Air Sial to launch the airline. As per the Air Sial chairman, the airline will be operational from 2019. The businessmen were thankful to Imran Khan for his cooperation and assistance in the launch of the airline.
PM Khan said that Sialkot is becoming the center for investment and the government is ready to provide more facilities and assistance to the relevant authorities.
PM said, “The airline’s launch will create jobs and stimulate business activity in the region.”
After the international airport was inaugurated in Sialkot, the business community decided to launch an airline on their own that could provide cheaper travelling facility to the local community. Under joint cooperation of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Sialkot International Airport the airline was to be launched. Now the PM has approved its launch, thus it is expected to inaugurate in 2019.
Further on the Sialkot business community has also decided to set up food and vegetable processing centre near the airport. This help in boosting exports.
