Plan to Relaunch the Tram Service in Karachi

Iftikhar Ali Shalwani-the Administrator of Karachi said that Turkey has offered to introduce the tram service in Karachi and the administration is devising a plan to relaunch the service in the city.

As per reports, while addressing a ceremony, the administrator said that the route of the expected tram service would be nine kilometers.

He added that the city government is working over a plan to run tram service in Karachi between Metropole and I. I. Chundrigar Road.

Shalwani made the announcement that the Karachi administration will organize a marathon race in Karachi next year.

Last month, the Turkish Consul General Tolga Ucak had offered to launch a tram service in the port city in a meeting with the administrator of Karachi.

On the other hand, PM Khan has shared his plan of constructing the first knowledge city of Pakistan at NAMAL University.
