Tech incubator, Plan9 of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) is set to launch its week long cycle from its launch pad 10 on July 19.
Approximately 100 startups will be participating in it by setting up stalls and more will contribute as attendees. The startups will take part in interesting workshops, discuss and display their work.
Investors, experts, and mentors would be part of the expo to guide new entrepreneurs and give them tips. The winner Startup would be given a cash prize of Rs100,000.
Since 714 police stations in 36 areas of Punjab were computerized, 850,027 FIRs were registered. This was informed by Dr. Umar Saif, PITB Chairman as he studied progress on PITB’s “Police Station Record Management System.
FIR cycle complaint management system initially launched as a trial project and after that, it was launched formally all across Punjab. After that through this system 8,424 motor vehicle, 871 accidents, 393 robberies and 17 kidnaps for ransom cases were registered.
Externally the project is integrated with NADRA; internally it is integrated with MIS modules that include Anti-Vehicle Lifting System, Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) and Criminal Record Office. The application was established in collaboration with PITB and Punjab Police for Sindh Police and it also works there. Balochistan governments and Gilgit-Baltistan have demanded the same thing in their provinces.
