PIA Boeing planes would soon be getting the new flight entertainment system.
This new system abbreviated as the IFE system would be installed at a modest cost of Rs.700 million.
As per the details, the IFE system would assist the Pakistan International Airlines to compete on its long-duration flights to Europe and in time to the United States of America.
The absence of the flight entertainment systems has badly affected the revenues of the national flag carrier and the IFE system would help in improving the image of PIA and surge its revenues.

The installation of the system would also assist the national flag carrier to compete with the best carrier firms of the world, like the Western and the Middle Eastern airlines.
The in-flight entertainment system would also boost the capabilities of PIA.
Previously, the PIA inked a deal with the M/s Aviation Avionics, which is a native firm that produces customized in-flight entertainment system.
It is pertinent to mention that the Pakistan International Airlines and other private airlines have surged their fares for the local flights at the start of the new year.
According to the revision, one-way trip from Karachi to Lahore and Islamabad would be costing more than thirty-five thousand. As per sources, the fares from Lahore to Karachi, Rahim Yar Khan, Quetta, Peshawar and Islamabad have been surged by ten thousand rupees to fifteen thousand rupees.
In the same way, the private airlines are charging thirty-six thousand rupees for the flights headed to Rahim Yar Khan, Islamabad and Faisalabad.
In the meantime, a sudden surge in the fares of PIA and other private airlines increased difficulties for the people who have planned their journeys after the winter break.
