The federal government has taken the decision of suspending the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights to Japan.
As per the media reports, the last flight of PIA that left for Japan was on Sunday after experiencing some delay.
The government has according to the reports suspended the flights as there are fewer passengers that travel on this route. Hence, empty planes of the national carrier were taken to Japan.
Upon this decision, the Pakistani community has staged a protest at the airport against the decision of the federal government of suspending the PIA flights to Japan.
It was demanded by the protestors that the flights to Japan of the national flag carrier be restored.
Recently it was announced by the Pakistan International Airlines that it would be running daily flights for the Pakistan Super League matches this season. It announced to operate the flights to the cities that would be hosting the PSL matches. It urged the fans to book the tickets immediately.
In the previous week, the Lahore High Court instructed the national flag carrier to continue on with the recruitment of the female pilots.
