PIA Starts Sialkot to Sharjah Flights After A Year Gap

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has started its Sialkot to Sharjah flights after like a gap of one year. The flights are resumed with PK-209 taking off from Sialkot International Airport on Tuesday.

The flight operations have remained suspended on the route for a span of more than a year.

The airline is now running flights from Sialkot to Sharjah two times a week. The flights would be scheduled on the Tuesdays and Fridays, bringing in a total of total five flights to Sharjah as three flights are already running from Turbat.

The president of PIA and the CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik said that the revival and the improvement of the national flag carrier were most essential things to do, and the government was providing all-out support in this matter.

The president said that Sialkot is the major industrial and financial centre and its fast connectivity to the world is necessary.

The president said that the flights to Sharjah are being run for the ease of the business community and the residents of Sialkot and the neighbouring areas.

He further added that the airline would be launching flights to Europe from Sialkot in near future. He also mentioned that they are making all the needed efforts for increasing the profits and for giving improved services to the passengers with easy connections in the country.

Earlier week, the national flag carrier started its operations again on the Muscat route after like a gap of more than a year.
