The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) would be facilitating the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) passengers by revising its flight schedule for the night flight operations in Peshawar. The night flight operations were discontinued 4 years before owing to the safety concerns of aviation safety.
The PIA President and the CEO Air Marshal—Arshad Malik thanked the minister for aviation for his immediate action and active efforts in resolving the matter with all the related quarters, especially the security agencies, for lifting all kind of restrictions.
The issue was raised to Muhammad Mian Soomro—the Aviation Minister during his visit to the PIA head office last Friday.
The PIA spokesperson said that after the restriction was removed, the national flag carrier would be revising its flight schedule for Peshawar, adding more flights for the convenience of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa public, as they were facing issues in connectivity.
Recently, PIA has reduced the fares for its international flights. The reduced fares are for a limited span of time for the international flights. The reduced fares could be availed between the dates 14thuntil the 28th of December. This fare reduction is for the passengers leaving for Europe, China and Afghanistan.
It was also in news some days back that the Minister for Privatization and Aviation has assured that the government is all keen to support PIA for its revival. The minister assured of all possible assistance for making the national flag carrier a viable entity.
