PIA staff offloads a British national for offering a bribe to airport officials

The authorities at Islamabad airport offloaded a British citizen from PK-701 on Monday as the passenger attempted to bribe the customs officials and other staff members of Airport Narcotics Force (ANF).

According to the details, the British national was identified as Sohail and was flying to Manchester from Islamabad International Airport through the flight of Pakistan International Airline (PIA).

The details of the incident said that Sohail was trying to carry 18 packets of cigarette on the flight when the officials of customs and ANF obstructed him, he offered them a bribe while filming the scene.

The authorities of the national airline PIA immediately offloaded the passenger from the flight.

Last month a similar incident happened when two passengers were offloaded by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from an overseas flight at Islamabad airport over fake papers.
