The national flag carrier, PIA has restored its flight operations for Malaysia, which were suspended for the past eight months owing to the airspace closure.
PK894, the flight of PIA carrying more than 300 passengers left for Kuala Lumpur after the break of 8months.
The business community of Pakistan and the Pakistanis residing in Malaysia have welcomed the decision.
Air Marshal-Arshad Malik said that due to the needs of the business community further flights would also be arranged with better facilities.
A spokesperson of the Pakistan International Airline said that PIA would operate 2 direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Islamabad on a weekly basis that is on Monday and Friday for facilitating the tourists and businessmen planning to visit Pakistan and Malaysia.
As per the latest development, the national flag-carrier has also decided to launch its flight operations on 13 international routes. This decision has been taking for boosting the revenue of the government-owned entity.
It is pertinent to mention, that PIA is always found engaged in one or the other thing for reviving the organization.
