PIA restarts Tokyo Flights, after a long suspension of 3 months. Pakistan International Airlines took the decision of resuming the flight operations after a long span of suspension.
Mashood Tajwar—the PIA spokesperson announced about the restart of flights on Sunday.
He said that 2 weekly flights to Tokyo would restart from the 30th of this month (that is May 30). Once the route is resumed, PIA aircraft would fly to Tokyo twice a week as the second long in its Islamabad to Beijing to Tokyo route.
The PIA spokesperson further said that the flights were discontinued in the month of February because of lack of passengers for the route and cargo from Beijing to Tokyo.
He further informed that now, the issue has been resolved after consultations and negotiations with the Japanese authorities.
It is pertinent to mention that the Federal Minister for Aviation—Ghulam Sarwar Khan, on Friday had said that all the indicators of the national flag carrier had displayed positive signs in the recent months, and they were taking the prospect of adding new and profitable routes into consideration.
