PIA has announced a reduction in the fares for domestic destinations, as reported by ARY News. The new fares would come into effect from Friday (that is today).
The national flag carrier’s spokesperson said that the reduced fares have been announced by the airline for flights from Karachi to Islamabad and Lahore.
The airline has set Rs.7,879 for the one-way ticket from Karachi to Islamabad and Lahore, whereas, Rs.8,543 would be charged for one passenger, carrying weight up to 35 kilograms.
Pakistan International Airlines operates 4 flights on a per day basis to the federal capital and 2 to Lahore, as informed by the PIA spokesperson. He also shared that the new fares would be put into effect for an undefined time.
Previously on the 8th of August, Research Snipers reported that PIA reduced the rates for domestic flights on the occasion of Independence Day (14th August).
The airline had announced a fourteen per cent reduction in the fares of domestic flights to Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore and had said that the reduction would remain in effect from the 7th until the 14th of August.
The national airline also announced about the resumption of its flight operations for Sukkur, Gwadar and Multan on the 14th of August. The spokesman said that the PIA flights from Gwadar, Sukkur and Multan would be connected to the other cities from August 13.
